The journey is the reward.

Another bend in the road...
When I graduated from college, a future of endless possibilities stretched ahead of me into the distance. I did not, however, foresee a career as an author. That should not surprise me. Truth be told, I have a lousy track record as a fortuneteller. In fact, I'm usually the last to guess where life will take me, and I have been blind-sided by most (if not all) of the twists and turns that have come my way--but that's been half the fun.
Despite my lack of foresight, I've spent most of my life preparing for this career (I won't admit how many years that's been). Nothing has been wasted. I learned about old-fashioned journalism in high school, and I'm also skilled at graphic arts and web design. And perhaps most importantly, my years in practice as a primary care physician let me study human nature and allowed me to learn firsthand the wide range of responses you'll see to crises both large and small.
So, here I am, an author...
When writing became an all-consuming passion, refusing to take a backseat to any of the other demands on my time, I was ready to begin work on THE LEARNER'S PERMIT. Since then, I've completed an MFA with a focus on the Short Story in an unaccredited program through Writers' Village University, and I've completed the first draft of my second novel, PRIVATE MESSAGE.
